Gary and Debbie Seaman have been on staff at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church since 1984. Gary currently serves in various capacities at BRBC primarily as assistant pastor, music ministry director, and Victory Bible Class teacher. In years past, he has served as youth pastor, bus director, college and career teacher, and AWANA director.
Both Gary and Debbie were raised in Christian homes and heard and understood the gospel at early ages. Gary’s mother led him to Christ in October 1965, and Debbie received assurance of her salvation at the age of twelve while attending a Christian camp. They met at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, where Gary graduated with a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies.
Married in 1983, they went on to have two daughters and are now the proud grandparents of two grandchildren. The Seamans enjoy serving the Lord together.
Bob and Lyndsey Mann have been faithfully serving in our youth ministry since March 2009. Bob came to know the Lord as his personal Savior when he was eight years old, and Lyndsey accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior when she was fifteen. God worked in their lives as teenagers, and both eventually felt the Lord leading them to train for the ministry at Crown College in Powell, TN. They had been raised about twenty minutes apart in Ohio, but it was at Bible college, about three hundred miles from home, where this couple finally met.
After graduating in 2007, the Manns were married, and in 2009 God led them to BRBC. Now the parents of two boys, Bob and Lyndsey desire to raise their children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord” and to assist and encourage the families of Buffalo Ridge to do the same.
John and Naomi Manetta have been serving in Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church since 2005. John, with the help and support of his wife, serves as bus ministry director, Cadets for Christ commander, and children’s church leader.
John was saved at the age of twenty-one and Naomi at the age of nine. The Manettas have faithfully served the Lord in bus and children’s ministries for over fifty years. They have hearts for children and desire to help them know God and His Word and to see them follow His will for their lives.
Along with serving the Lord together, one of their greatest joys is their family which has been blessed with three daughters, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Daniel Wakefield was born and raised in Southwest Michigan. In the summer of 1999, his mother shared the plan of salvation with him, and he accepted Christ as his Savior. As a teenager, Daniel responded to the Lord’s call to preach the gospel while at a youth retreat. He enrolled in West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, California in the fall of 2010. Following graduation, he spent three months at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church as part of an internship.
Rebekah grew up in a pastor’s home in Pennsylvania and accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl. Knowing the Lord wanted her in His service, she also attended West Coast Baptist College where she met Daniel. She graduated in May 2015 with a degree in secondary education.
Daniel and Rebekah were married and joined the staff of BRBC during the summer of 2015. In 2016, God blessed their family with a baby boy. Daniel serves as the Single Purpose (college age and singles) director and the children’s ministry director. The Wakefields love to serve God together and desire to reach people with the gospel and to assist them in building their lives upon the Word of God. Knowing God has called them to eventually plant a church, they are actively serving at Buffalo Ridge while learning and preparing to follow that call.
